A Fun Filled Weekend!!

Last weekend was the fullest weekend ever! I went dancing and mountain bike riding. :)

Saturday
Woke up kind of early that morning considering that it is a weekend and did my usual routine. Later I woke hubward up as he promised to buy me a mountain bike that day. I was also excited for my first dance show. As soon as hubward woke up he browsed the internet to check the best bike that suits me best as I was getting ready to go out. eheheh...

We went out for lunch and later went to his usual bicycle shop in Klang. After much negotiation, finally I got my bike! yey!! Then, we had to go to Kepong for my full dress dance show rehearsal. It was fun and nerve-wrecking. The last time I performed on stage was a poco-poco dance for my company. The rehearsal went well but I can't say the same during the actually show. I was a bit nervous than I normally am and nearly tripped down during one of the routine. Luckily I managed to compose myself and finish the show. :P It was a fun nite and the funny thing is, I was the only Malay there.

Can you tell that I'm the only Malay there? :P

Later that nite, hubward asked whether I want to join him and his friends riding on DUKE highway. I was too tired to follow him (luckily I didn't. You'll need to read more if you wanna know why) so I stayed with the wives and hang out while watching American Idol repeat. We went back at 3.00am that nite (or should I say morning).

Sunday
I should have gone to my dance class at 9.00am but since we only arrived home at 3.00am, I couldn't open my eyes. Woke up almost noon...eheheh...and was eager to go for my first bike ride in FRIM. I haven't been to FRIM for the longest time ever and I was so shocked to know the fees we need to pay just to enter. One car: RM4.00, Per head: RM1.00 and per bicycle : RM2.00. So total we have to pay was RM10.00. That is so beyond ridiculous!

After we had our lunch, we paid the ridiculous fees, went in to park our car and prepared for our bike ride. It was exciting and hubward brought me through quite a up hill route. For a beginner, it was a bit challenging but I wasn't going to give up. So I followed him. However, as we reach about quater of the hill (1km up the hill), I can't feel my legs and I literally see stars. :P. Hubward panicked. He was so sweet and I felt the urge to comfort him but I was too busy trying to breath and making sure blood flows through my body. My hands felt numb. A few joggers stopped to help my hubward who was panicking. A lady even offered to take her car and bring me to clinic. Since this is not the first time I had this incident (as in almost fainting), I told her no thank you coz I just need awhile to recover. After 15 minutes, I regain my full contiousness and hubward had already brought our car with the help the security personel.

Hubward was so concern, we didn't continue our session and only continue at home. Now, I will need to gain my stamina first before going up hill again. 10 - 15 laps a day for 2 weeks around the park near my house should be fairly enough for me to slowly get there. :)

I think bicycle riding is the easiest and most fun way to get fit coz I am lazy to jog. :P

Gonna stop here. Until next time! Ciao!

Cleaning Spider Web. Again!

Am not sure why I haven't blog for so long. Maybe there's nothing much going on in my life to be exciting enough to be shared.

At this moment, am busy at work. A lot of paperwork that I haven't done yet. Although, the company just got a new executive to assist me. Hubward and I are still trying to find the perfect house for us. It is so damn hard to find a house that suits you best that you know worth spending for. And since our budget isn't that high, that makes it even more difficult. :(

Property price nowadays is literally gonna kill you. Last few weeks, we went to a property expo and guess what's the cheapest house available? RM680,000!!!! WTF? Who the hell is gonna afford that? And yet, our government is only helping us with 'First House Scheme' for a house valued at RM220,000. Maybe in rural area yes, you'll be able to find one but here in Klang Valley? I doubt it.

I think it would be good if they put is as loan amount per person instead of house value. If a husband and wife can combine income and afford to buy a RM400K house, with the scheme eligibility of loan amount RM220K per person, that could help with the 10% down payment. So, the conclusion is, we are still trying to find a house. :(

Besides that, as you all know, we are also trying to conceive. It has been quite a journey for us. Well, for me at least. Early this month, I went through Hysterosalpingography (HSG) procedure to check if there is any blockage in my uterus or Fallopian tube. The radiologist injected a dye inside my uterus to see the liquid flow. It was a short yet painful thing I had to go through but I want to know my actual condition. To my relief there was no blockage. The reproductive specialist even said, 'beautiful pattern'.

So, there's nothing wrong with me. Am fertile and my uterus and tubes are good. Hubward's sperms are also good and the count is high. hmmm...where did we do wrong. I think it's all about the timing. Maybe we need to have sex during the day. hahahaha....but that only leaves us with the weekend and it has to be during the ovulation. Otherwise, it will not work either. Who knew, getting pregnant could be so tricky? LOL

As of today, perfect house hasn't been found and no baby. Not giving up yet because there will always be a way. We have decide to try Intrauterine insemination (IUI) to get pregnant but since a cost is a bit high, am trying to decide the best time. Coz I might have to go through the procedure a few times/cycles.

I think I've written quite a lot. So am gonna stop here. :)

Until next time! Ciao!

The Birthday Menu Special : 'Salted Egg Crab/Shrimp'

Yesterday was my hubward's birthday and since it was a workday and he had to come back late, I decided to cook something different and special for him. I've cracked my brain to decide what should I cook and finally posted the question on Facebook. A beloved twilight friend was lovely enough to suggest 'Salted Egg Crab'. I have heard a friend mentioned that it is indeed a delicious meal, so I decided to try it. However, since I can't find crab at the last minute, I bought shrimp instead. :)

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients/Bahan-bahan:
500 gram crab/ketam or shrimp/udang
1 tin Ideal cream milk/susu cair
10 gram chilli/cili padi
2 spoon sugar/sudu gula
1 spoon butter/sudu marjein
10 gram curry leaves/daun kari
2 salted egg/biji telur masin
1 spoon chicken stock/sudu stok ayam
1/2 spoon salt/sudu garam (atau secukup rasa)
2 spoon cooking oil/sudu minyak masak

Preparation/Cara Membuat:
Clean the crab/shrimp and then fry them and put them aside.
Lated, heat your wok and put in the oil and butter. Then add in curry leaves, chilli and cream milk. Stir well until it boils then add in the salted egg and all the other side ingredients (salt and sugar) and stir to create a yellowish testure mix.
Lastly, add in the fried crab/shrimp into the mix and stir until your gravy becomes thick, dry and stick to the crab/shrimp.
Now, it is ready to be served!

Goreng ketam yang telah dibersihan dan ketepikan.
Panaskan kuali dan masukkan sedikit minyak dan marjerin.
Kemudian masukkan daun kari, cili padi & susu cair.
Kacau bahan tadi sehingga mendidih dan masukkan telur masin dan bahan perasa.
Kacau sentiasa sehingga menjadi kekuningan.
Kemudian masukkan ketam yg telah siap digoreng & kacau sehingga kuah menjadi kering dan melekat pada ketam.
Sedia dihidangkan

The recipe is from my beloved twilight friend Faliza. Thanx Faliza!! :)

HAPPY TRYING!! ;)

Just Another Step

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have read my update on Wednesday. I was nervous on getting my result. What result? Well, you will need to read more.

As most of you might know, my hubward and I have been trying for a baby since my last miscarriage in 2009. Although I think I had a second miscarriage in June 2010, I don't want to count it in. So, we have been trying with no apparent result. Yeah...no pregnancy, no baby. Sex...I think we have enough. Some say it is not good to have sex everyday (no, we are not doing it everyday). ahahaha...should give time to rejuvenate. LOL

This year, both of us will be 31 years old and to me, having a baby soon is kind of important. I don't want to be 50 and still sending my kids to school. sigh....

After trying on our own and seeing a private gynea a few times and still no success, we decided to see another gynea for a thorough check up. I did a blood test to check on my ovulation, fertility and hyperthyroid test while hubward did a sperm count test. Last Wednesday was the result day and I was nervous and anxious at the same time. The result? Fortunately, everything is good. hmmm.....

However, after consulting the doctor, I decided to take another step by taking an ACG test (I think that is what it's called). Basically, the test involving inserting a dye inside my fallopian tube and check for any clog that can block the egg to burst. From what I've heard, it is a bit painful but I guess I just have to do it to make sure.

I will have to wait for my next cycle to come before making any appointment for the test and will update again with the result.

Since everything is physically good, I guess God knows best when to bestow us with a baby of our own. In the mean time, hubward and I are still enjoying our lovely time together just the two of us. I even said to him that since I have him as my big baby and I am his, we don't need another baby. He laughed and agreed. LOL . If we need entertainment, we can just pick up one of his niece or nephew and bring them along. No string attached. ahahahaha....

So, until next time....ciao!

My First Mac & Cheese

Yesterday, I came back home late and yet not even half of my work are finished. As I was starving and my beloved hubward still wants to wait for me to come home and cook, I just prepared a super simple menu. Pratha and sardine for dinner.

Today, although I still have tonnes of work, I decided to go back early because I was too damn tired. I was thinking of cooking sambal ikan and vege soup but as I was on my way back, hubward called and said he doesn't want to eat rice tonite and only wants to eat quaker oat. hmmm....great! I can save time on cooking and do laundry. But then, what should I cook for myself? I'm hungry....it seems that I'm always hungry. Damn it!! I need to loose weight!!

While thinking, I remembered from my bbm group chat yesterday evening of one of my chat buddies suggested macaroni and cheese and she even gave the recipe. The recipe is super simple. After making sure all ingredients are there (also stopped at Speedmart99 to buy milk and cheese), I'm determine to cook my first ever mac and cheese.

So, I made mine and left it on the stove to cool of while I clean up. After I'm ready, suddenly I heard hubward.

Hubward: Yang, how much did you cook?
Me: Not too much.
Hubward: It's delicious
(blush....ngeee~~~)

Ouh, he tasted it while I was in the shower. So there goes his quaker oat dinner and I had to share my mac & cheese. Fortunately, there was enough for two. Thank God! I was hungry. LOL

To those who have never made one, here is the recipe. This recipe is courtesy of Ninie Harneza, my sweet dear friend. :)

Ingredients:
1. Elbow Pasta / Macaroni (boiled)
2. Butter - 2 spoons
3. Wheat Flour - 2 spoons
4. Full Cream Milk - 2 cups
5. Cheddar Cheese - as you wish
6. Black Pepper
7. A pinch of salt

Preparation:
Heat your pot and then put in the butter and let is melt a bit then add the flour. Mix them well until yellowish colour. Later, add in the milk and add a bit of salt (to your taste). Then add the cheese and black pepper. Mixed them all until a bit creamy then add the boiled elbow pasta/macaroni.

I also added boiled potato (slice in small cube size) just because I love potatos! :)

So, HAPPY TRYING!!!

Giant, Carefour or Tesco?

Remember on Sunday I mentioned I'm going to Giant to buy groceries with the RM290 coupon voucher me and hubward won at the bowling tournament? Yes, we did go and finish up the whole coupon vouchers. The whole RM290 of them!

This is the first time ever I shopped at Giant. I did shop at Carefour and Tesco before and between those two I prefer Tesco better. And if I have to include Giant into the equation, it will be my least choice.

First of all, to me Giant doesn't have that many varieties of things. I can't even find Febreeze refill! For God sake! When asked, the customer service said it is out of stock. hmm...how convenient. And somehow to the the aisle are confusing too :P (or maybe that is just me). And second of all, there are things that are expensive. Milo was price at RM17.59 and if you pay RM17.99 you get free 50g Instant Nescafe. Ok, this is what we consumer need to be aware of. Not all promo are good promo. If I buy Milo in Tesco or maybe Speedmart99 (I think most of you are familiar with this blooming supermarket) it cost me only RM14.99 and the nescafe around RM3.99. So where is the promotion? We didn't really save any.

When I was waiting for the cashier to tag everything, I told him that Giant is manipulating consumers and it is not as cheap as it say it is. My trolley is not even half full and I'm paying RM288.30 for everything.

I am very particular about price and the type who compare them and I think all consumers need to do the same. Don't simply trust all these so called promotion on price reductions. But then of course, you will also need to calculate you other cost that some of you might not see and add in into the equation which is your journey cost (e.g petrol, toll & parking etc) to the particular hypermarket of your choice.

So, be a smart consumer and know your rights! ;)

Beginners Seasonal Luck. :)

Yesterday (Saturday), my company held a bowling tournament amongst its staff and family members. At first, I thought of not going but since it is fun and it involves family, I guess why not? Even though hubward and me sucks at bowling. The last time we ever played was like two years ago and most of the time, the bowling ball will go to the drain instead of dropping the pins. :P

We arrived a bit late as it was so hard to wake up hubward. Why is it men take women events less seriously but when it comes to their event, we have to get ready before they do? (but that is another whole story :P) I myself didn't anticipate much but hope to win. hey a girl can dream, rite? ahahahah....

Hubward was placed in a different group than mine and to my very surprise he did extremely well. When I say extremely well, I meant it. He scores 8 strikes out of ten throw which has never ever happened before. As for me, I did about average.

When the game is over, I was quite surprising to know that both of us had won. LOL. Hubward won the group and family single category and he had the second highest score and I won women single and masters category. Although the finale was a bit nerve-wrecking as the points between me and my opponent were slim. :P

Overall, lady luck was on our side and we had fun. Both of us won the trophy and mine is pretty big. It was handmade by the company staff and I did help too. eheheheh...not to mention Giant shopping vouchers with total worth of RM290! So today, we are going grocery shopping at giant. eheheheh....:D

Till my next entry....ciao!!
